Post-dated passports

I have received my new passport with my new name which I planned to use for travel after my marriage/civil partnership ceremony which has now been cancelled/postponed due to COVID-19. Will you issue a free replacement post-dated passport? 

Your new passport will not be valid because it is not in your current name. You must send it back to us for destruction. You can choose to receive a free replacement passport in your current name or in your new name, post-dated to the date of your rearranged ceremony.

 

I applied for a passport in my new name which I planned to use for travel after my marriage/civil partnership ceremony which has now been cancelled/postponed due to COVID-19. Can the passport now be issued in my current name? Can I withdraw my application and be refunded?

Your passport can be issued in your current name or in your future name, post-dated to the date of your rearranged ceremony. You can also put your application on hold and reapply for free when you have rearranged your ceremony.

 

Can I use my post-dated passport if I don't get married due to cancellations around COVID-19?
