Redbridge Faith Forum aims to promote respect, co-operation and understanding by bringing people of different faiths together at organised events and public forums.

It is an independent organisation with charitable status (no. 1118675) that is funded by:

  • Redbridge Council
  • Jewish Burial Society
  • donations from individual supporters and faith communities

Places of worship

There are over 100 different places of worship in Redbridge including:

  • over 80 churches
  • 10 synagogues
  • 22 mosques
  • 6 temples - 4 Hindu, 2 Buddhist
  • 2 Gurdwaras
  • 2 Kingdom halls

Redbridge Faith Forum board of trustees

Redbridge Faith Forum has a board of trustees made up of faith practitioners from all of the main religions represented in the Borough. It has adopted respect, co-operation and understanding as its key motto. Trustees are very active on many statutory and community boards and Committees and contribute to other voluntary sector events. The Chair of Redbridge Faith Forum is currently a Commissioner on the Fairness Commission.

The board of trustees meets regularly, usually a weekday at 5.30pm. It has a collective responsibility for fulfilling the aims and objectives of the Redbridge Faith Forum. During these meetings there have been presentations and speakers from a variety of organisations and agencies.
