Why we need your information and how we use it
Parental consent is now required for the processing of personal data of children under the age of 16. Silence or inactivity does not constitute consent; clear and affirmative consent to the processing of private data must be provided. By completing a valid application form, you are giving your consent.

- address where the child ordinarily lives at the time of application
- parent name and contact details
- current or previous school
- benefit and income proof
- who your information may be shared with (internally and externally)
- other teams within the LA to verify the information such as Social Services
How information about you will be used
- process your application
- ensure the efficient checking and authorisation of the award in accordance with the Exceptional Circumstance Clothing & Uniform scheme
- populate our database
How long we keep your information
Free School Meals
Who your information may be shared with (internally and externally)
- schools to advise them of the application outcome
- Department for Education to comply with statutory data collections
- other teams within the LA to verify the information such as council tax
- how information about you will be used
- process your application
- ensure the efficient checking and authorisation of the award in accordance with the Free School Meals legislation
