Changes to the Redbridge infant feeding service

Contrary to reports on social media, the work of the Redbridge Infant Feeding Team is not stopping, but will be integrated as part of the expanded 0-19 Universal Service across the borough. 

The service is incorporating staff from the current Redbridge Infant Feeding Team and all staff are fully trained to support families across Redbridge. This integration will lead to improved outcomes. The staff will continue to work in partnership with Children’s Centres where we already have established Infant Feeding Cafes and these will carry on looking after the interests of mothers and babies in the area, individual support will also be continued. 

Due to the restructure some staff may be redeployed within the 0-19 service or other services within NELFT but parents will continue to have access to the Health Visitor service and continued support in relation to breast feeding support and advice.
