View your benefits online
Register to view your letters online
To register you’ll need the following information for the person whose name the claim is under:
- your last name
- your national insurance number
- your date of birth
- person email address
- current benefit claim reference number beginning with a 0 or 1 (this is 8 digits long)
Do not use your Council Tax Account number to register.
Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email with an access key.
Register to view letters online
View your letters online
You can view your letters at any time. We’ll email you to notify you each time we produce a new letter.
To view your letters you’ll need to enter the following:
- your last name
- your national insurance number
- your date of birth
- current claim reference number beginning with a 0 or 1 (this is 8 digits long)
Do not use your Council Tax Account number to register.
You’ll be sent an email with a benefits service key. You’ll need to enter this to view your letters.
To view your claim summary
You’ll need to have an active Council Tax Reduction and/or Housing Benefit claim. You can view your current claims online.
You’ll be able to see your current weekly entitlement and who is included in your claim.
If you receive Housing Benefit, you can view the payments that have been made.
To log in you need:
- your last name
- your national insurance number
- your date of birth
- your postcode
- current benefit claim reference number beginning with a 0 or 1 (this is 8 digits long)
Do not use your Council Tax Account number to register.
Having trouble logging in
If you’re having problems logging in to view your online letters, check if you have done the following:
- You have selected the option ‘Register for online letters’ instead of ‘View my online letters’
- You can only view letters for current benefit claims that are in payment. You cannot use this for claims that are waiting to be calculated or that have been closed
- You have entered the correct benefit claim reference number which begins with a 0 or a 1 and is 8 digits long. This is not the same as your council tax account number
- You have entered the same details you used when you registered for online letters. This should be:
- the name, date of birth and national insurance number of the person whose name the claim is in
- the email address you provided at registration
