Order a copy certificate
Due to a high demand for copy certificates, there is a delay issuing certificates within 15 working days.
If your certificate is issued after 15 working days we will post your certificate out by 1st class post. Alternatively, you can email register.office@redbridge.gov.uk to collect the certificate. Please remember to add details of your order to the email.
Certified copy certificates of registration records for births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships that have taken place in Redbridge are available to order.
Places of worship no longer issue marriage certificates. Please order any certificates that you need from the Register Office in the area of marriage or from the General Register Office (GRO) - GOV.UK (external link).
For certificates for births at Queens Hospital, Romford apply at Havering Register Office.
For certificates for births at Whipps Cross Hospital, Leytonstone apply at Waltham Forest Register Office.
For births that took place elsewhere outside of Redbridge, please use Find A Register Office to check which office to make the certificate application with.
Standard service applications for delivery within the UK
The only way to order a certificate for delivery within the UK is through our online ordering system. You will need a credit or debit card to make the payment online.
The fee for this service is £12.50 per certificate.
Certificate requests are processed within 15 working days.
Certificates will be posted by Royal Mail second class post. Please ensure to check the postal address has been entered correctly before submitting your application.
If the certificate is lost in the post, you will need to re-apply and pay again.
