Book a registrar
You'll need to book a registrar to conduct your ceremony if you have it at a licensed venue.
First contact the venue to see if it’s available. Then check with us that a registrar will be available on that date.
If you book a ceremony in Redbridge Town Hall, the cost of the registrar is included when you book.
Cost
- £626 Monday to Friday
- £668 Saturday
- £742 Sunday and bank holidays
The cost includes one marriage or civil partnership certificate.
Registrar attendance at a religious building is £104. You’ll need to pay an extra £12.50 each for a marriage or civil partnership certificate.
Book a registrar
We recommend that you book early to ensure that registrars are available on your chosen date.
You’ll need:
- you and your partner’s full name
- contact details
- ceremony date and time
- name of the approved venue
What happens next
You’ll receive a confirmation email.
We’ll call you to book the registrar within 10 working days. You’ll need to pay at this time. You can pay with a debit or credit card.
If you need to cancel or change a booking
Cancel a booking
You’ll need to contact us.
You must let us know at least 60 days before the ceremony date to get a full refund. It can be either you or your partner that tells us.
Change the date
You’ll need to contact us.
You must give us at least 30 days' notice. You’ll need to pay a £55 fee to change the date.
