When we make a decision about your Council Tax Reduction, we’ll send you this in writing. You should read this carefully.

Explanations or disputes about Council Tax Reduction can only be requested by:
- the person claiming
- someone appointed by the claimant or someone with power of attorney to act on their behalf

What happens next
If you disagree with our explanation or decision, you can appeal the decision.
We do not deal with appeals against Council Tax Reduction.
You should ask us to review our decision again before you make an appeal.
If you still want to appeal a Council Tax Reduction decision after our review, you must contact the Valuation Tribunal Service.
The Valuation Tribunal will not accept an appeal that has been sent by a local authority.
