Home Library Service
Redbridge Libraries provides a free home delivery service for Redbridge residents, where you can borrow a variety of books and audiobooks.
You can borrow up to 20 items every three weeks. Your volunteer will contact you to arrange a mutually suitable date to collect and deliver.
If you or someone you know has ill health, limited mobility, a visual impairment or any other difficulty leaving the home and would like to sign up, please get in touch with the Home Library Service to discuss needs and check if you're eligible.

Books on prescription
Books on prescription helps you manage your wellbeing using self-help reading. The scheme is endorsed by health professionals and supported by public libraries.
The books provide helpful information and step-by-step self-help techniques for managing common conditions like depression and anxiety.
The self-help books are available for anyone to borrow from their local library.
Sometimes self-help books may be recommended by a GP, psychological wellbeing practitioner or another health professional as a part of treatment.
Go to your local Redbridge library where you can borrow the book for free. If it’s not available, you can reserve it for free too.
Reading well
Reading Well supports you to understand and manage your health and wellbeing using helpful reading.
Reading Well books are all recommended by health experts, as well as people with lived experience of the conditions and topics covered and their relatives and carers.
