6.11 Reservists (paid)
6.11.1 - Employees should seek permission from their Head of Service/Operational Director before volunteering for service as a reservist.
6.11.2 - Reservists may, on application to their Head of Service/Operational Director, be granted two special leave with pay to attend summer camps. Any additional Leave Policy v5 December 2017 Page 19 of 282 or as unpaid leave.
6.11.3 - If a reservist is mobilised they must follow the procedure se Reserve Forces Training
and Mobilisation Policy. Whilst mobilised, a reservist will be on unpaid leave.
6.12(g): Armed forces criteria:
Is a Member or spouse, civil partner or unmarried partner of a member of the Armed
Forces who:
1. is serving in the regular forces or who has served in the regular forces within five years
of the date of their application for an allocation of housing under Part 6 of the 1996 Act;
2. has recently ceased, or will cease to be entitled, to reside in accommodation provided
by the Ministry of Defence following the death of that person's spouse or civil partner
where:
i. the spouse or civil partner has served in the regular forces; and
ii. their death was attributable (wholly or partly) to that service; or
3. is serving or has served in the reserve forces and who is suffering from a serious injury,
illness or disability which is attributable (wholly or partly) to that service.*
7.12 - Applicants with Community Contribution award will have overriding priority over
applicants who do not have CCA within the Choice Based Letting system, i.e the CCA will come into play for applicants who bid.
7.14 - An applicant who meets the Qualifying Persons criteria in section 6.12 (g) - Armed
Forces - above will be awarded the Community Contribution priority.
