Landlord Accreditation & Training Schemes

Redbridge recommends that landlords seek training and accreditation. We recognise than operating in the private rented sector is complex and this training and accreditation helps minimise risks to the landlord.  

It provides up to date information to help you comply with your responsibilities and increase your professional knowledge.

The council offers Property Licence Holder applicants (HMO and Selective) who have completed an accreditation course, a £35 discount on each property licence.  

Please Note: Either the licence holder or property manager must provide evidence of accreditation at the time of submitting their application to receive the discount. If a landlord is not accredited at the time of application, they won’t receive a discount. Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively.

To obtain a discount you must upload evidence, when you make your property licence application online, that the proposed licence holder has completed a course or attended a minimum of 5 hours training with a recognised training provider.
