
National Primary Offer Day 2021 - 95% get a preferred school place in Redbridge

More children got into their first choice of primary school in Redbridge this year than in 2020, according to figures published on National Primary Offer Day (Friday 16 April)
94.69% were offered their first or second preference for primary school an improvement on the 91.78% of applicants offered first or second preference for 2020.
87.56% of Reception applicants were offered their first preference, compared with 82.24% in 2020.
A spokesperson from Redbridge Council, said:
“Starting primary school is an important time for our young residents. Even though places at our primary schools are in high-demand I’m pleased we’ve seen a significant increase in the number of first preferences met.
“However, we know that some pupils have not been given a school of their preference and we have a team on hand to help parents with the options available.”
98.21% of applicants were offered one of their six preferences, compared to 96.57% in 2020.
Families will receive their child’s school place offer via email or text during the evening of National Offer Day.
School places must be accepted by responding to the offer made through the eAdmissions portal by 23.59 on 30 April 2021.
The data was released on National Primary School Offer Day by the Pan London Admissions Board, the body with overall responsibility for the co-ordination of school admissions in London.
