Get your local project off the ground with community crowdfunding

Published: 14 March 2022

Do you have an incredible idea? A brilliant blueprint? A promising project? A daring design or a stunning scheme to enhance your local neighbourhood?

Well, we can help you bring to life your idea with our community crowdfunding programme which we run with our partner platform Spacehive for Redbridge.

We could bring your ideas to life; help you raise money for your project - we could even part-fund your project to get you going.

We started a Redbridge Community Crowdfunding programme, which is run in partnership between the council and Spacehive.

Coming up is our third round of community crowdfunding in the borough and this spring we are looking for projects from community groups in the south of the borough (Cranbrook, Valentines, Ilford Town, Clementswood and Loxford wards) to come forward with ideas.

How does it work?

Come up with an idea or project that will enhance your local area ideas to benefit the community. You need to get your neighbours, friends, family, local businesses on board to help you generate financial and volunteer time for your project.

Your project could be anything from sprucing up your local park, improving a playground in your neighbourhood, to starting a sports club.

Once your group has an idea for a project you can then submit your proposal to us at Redbridge Council through Spacehive.

And Redbridge Council has £23,000 available to pledge to your projects to get you started.

The crowdfunding Programme is designed to enable community groups to be more proactive and empower them in delivering projects themselves.

Proposals and deadline

Once your group has an idea for a project you can then submit your proposal to us at Redbridge Council through Spacehive.

The deadline to submit your ideas and proposals is Wednesday 20 April 2022.
