Redbridge Council’s new ground-breaking Mobile Enforcement Hub launched
Published: 11 February 2022
Following the successful launch of Enforcement Hubs in Ilford and Hainault, and the overwhelmingly positive feedback from local people, Redbridge Council launched our new Mobile Enforcement Hub to bring police and Council Enforcement Officers to every doorstep in Redbridge.
The Mobile Enforcement Hub will empower police and enforcement officers to move across the borough to respond to issues as they arise.
Like the Hainault and Ilford Enforcement Hubs, the Mobile Enforcement Hub will be jointly staffed by police officers and Redbridge Enforcement Officers, so local people will be able to meet with officers close to home to discuss their concerns and report crime and anti-social behaviour.
Speaking at the launch of the Mobile Enforcement Hub, Leader of the Council, Cllr Jas Athwal said “Everyone deserves to feel safe on our streets, Redbridge is our home and we are determined to drive out crime and antisocial behaviour and keep local families safe. Our Enforcement Hubs bring policing and enforcement to every local doorstep, restoring the community policing that was decimated during austerity. Our Hubs both empower local people to meet with the police and Council Enforcement Officers, and also send a strong message to criminals that they are not welcome in our borough.”
Redbridge Enforcement Hubs are open for anyone to visit. The Ilford Enforcement Hub can be found next to the York Road entrance to Ilford Station and is open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4.30pm-6.30pm.
The Hainault Enforcement Hub is located on Manford Way, next to Hainault Library and is open Monday-Thursday, 11am-1pm and at varying times Friday-Sunday. Please check the times on our website.
