Redbridge welcomes new Cabinet Members

Redbridge Council is delighted to welcome three new members as part of a reshuffle of the Council’s Cabinet, appointed by the council leadership.
The newly appointed Cabinet Members are Cllr Lloyd Duddridge, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Education; Cllr Namreen Chaudhry, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Culture and Communities; and Cllr Sahdia Warraich, Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Growth.
Cllr Sheila Bain has stepped down as Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Growth, and Cllr John Howard has stepped down as Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities. Cllr Bain and Cllr Howard will continue to serve their constituents as ward councillor.
Cllr Jas Athwal, Leader of Redbridge Council, Councillor Jas Athwal, said: “Redbridge is our home and is a great place to live, work and visit. We are committed to investing in our borough, and a strong, effective Cabinet plays a key role in delivering this investment and the vital services local people deserve.
“I’m looking forward to working with our new Cabinet to continue our work with partners in education, policing and local business to make sure our borough thrives.
“I would like to thank Cllr Howard and Cllr Bain for their enduring service to our borough.”
