If you see someone sleeping rough and they need to access to our Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP), they will need to be referred and assessed at The Welcome Centre during the day. Please telephone: 0208 514 3283 or send an e-mail to info@thewelcomecentre.org.uk.
The out of hours team can be contacted 5pm – 9pm on 0208 708 4002. Rough sleepers will be supported on how to access warm spaces in the borough if the Welcome Centre is busy during these times.
To contact StreetLink please telephone on 0300 500 0914 or access their website www.streetlink.org.uk where a referral can be made.
Redbridge Council in partnership with a range of organisations in the borough has established a network of 17 Community Living Rooms, which are warm and welcoming places for residents to use. Each organisation is different therefore their offer will be different – some will have activities, some will offer hot drinks, some will be quiet spaces.
In addition, Redbridge Libraries offer a wide range of activities located across the borough.
