Schools, Leisure and Health centres

Mayfield Leisure Centre was opened in November 2018. The council has invested £4 million in the centre, with an additional National Lottery award of £750,000 from the Sport England Strategic Facilities Fund. The complex is part of a major commitment by the council to improve leisure facilities in the borough.

In addition to Mayfield Leisure Centre, the Council has refurbished the community swimming pool at Loxford School of Science and Technology and has submitted plans for a new leisure centre at Wanstead High School to include a public pool and dance studio.
